handpuppet set. HOWDY DOODY PUPPET SHOW. Complete boxed set of 6 hand puppets and illustrated box which is also the puppet theater stage! Peter Puppet Playthings. early 1950's. all have the googly eyes. Molded rubber heads with printed cloth bodies and mitten type hands. very minimal box storage wear and age soiling. virtually no play wear. Howdy Doody has illustrations of the other characters on his outfit and is complete with his dark blue neckerchief. Clarabelle Clown is wearing his classic red and white striped outfit and is complete with his fancy white felt ruffled collar. Flubadub is complete with his yellow felt bowtie. Dilly Dally has some paint flaking on top and bottom of hat brim and some of his stitching is coming undone on his arm (easily repaired). Mister Bluster is wearing his red derby and is complete with his red felt scarf. Princess Summerfall Winterspring is complete with her red felt collar. facial colors are strong and bright. there might be a few loose stitches here and there. overall an extremely fine set. The illustrated STAGE BOX is complete and intact and measures approx. 15.5" by 14.5" by 2.5". stage doors open wide and both windows on reverse side open. an extremely scarce set to find complete and intact! 850.00
