This story brings to life the wonderful illustrations of Eric Carle. A wicked queen tries to destroy a little girl because of a prophecy that the girl will become queen. The queen's tricks backfire, due to her greed.  unique cartoon art.  narrated by Hans Conreid.  Matted and shrunkwrap.  has the seal of the  “International Animated Film Society”. to the right is the ASIFA certificate of authenticity.  14” by 18” overall.  the cel itself is mint, but the matte is discolored in the lower left.  95.00

Bosustow Studio.  hand drawn promotional cel.  Animation Cel from THE FISHERMAN AND HIS WIFE.  artwork of  the pair of them talking, with him holding his pipe.   1977  release of a Grimm's fairy tale.   In this animated adaptation, a humble fisherman frees a prince from a spell. The fisherman's wife seizes the opportunity to have all her wishes granted. She goes from cottage to mansion to palace but ends up where she started, a bitter lesson learned.  interesting cartoon art.   Matted and shrunkwrap.  has the AIFA seal of the  “International Animated Film Society”.  on the back is the certificate of authenticity.  14” by 18” overall.  the cel itself is mint, but the matte is discolored in the lower left.  95.00

Bosustow Studio.  hand drawn promotional cel.  Animation Cel from MYRA artwork of dog-like creature biting foot of young pigtailed girl that is on all fours.   this was a 3 minute 1980 cartoon.  Pretending to be trees and animals is fun for the girls in the dance class, but MYRA annoys everyone by actually becoming those objects. Based on the children's book by Barbara Bottner.  Matted and shrunkwrap.   the ASIFA seal is stamped to the far left.  in the lower right corner is the ASIFA certificate of authenticity.  14” by 18” overall.  the cel itself is mint, but the matte is discolored in the lower left.  The   95.00

Hanna Barbera Studios Hand drawn animation cel of FRED FLINTSTONE from THE FLINTSTONES TV Show. 1960’ vintage, full sheet, full figure. He is approx. 4 ¼” tall. There are rub marks to the black ink outline. Marked on bottom of sheet #68-C3. Obviously some kind of sequence number.    125.00

Hanna Barbera Studios.  Two animation cels that go together. FONZIE is about to pet the dog. I am 99% sure this is from the Hanna Barbera Studios. Each is painted on a full acetate sheet, not trimmed. When the two cels are overlaid, the image is quite large, approx. 6 ¼” tall by 4 ¾” wide. Would look great individually framed, or overlaid as a single image. Based on the HENRY WINKLER character on the HAPPY DAYS TV Series.    125.00

This is a original Handpainted Cartoon Production Cel. It is a one of a kind, piece of art used to make a cartoon. Used in an advertising cartoon for  ODOR EATERS  shoe inserts. It also includes that actual Pencil Sketch. Both pieces of art are on FULL SHEETS (in other words, neither has been trimmed). The actual figures are approx. 5 ½" by 5". Colorful and mint. Full figure is approx. 2 ¾” tall. Well centered on full sheet. In lower right corner is penciled 73/277 – SEQ-3 – SC-860. There are light creases, none that affect the actual art. The white wispy lines you see are NOT on the artwork, but are “glare” from countertop.    125.00

ROBOT battery operated toy is 21" high.   commissioned by toy robot collector to use as backdrop display for the actual toy, which is why the robot is situated so high in the art.   super piece.  fantastic display item.  quality item is unique, one of a kind.   mint condition.  750.00

original artwork.  Unique, one of a kind portrait art of legendary hydroplane race driver CHIP HANAUER.  signed and dated 1981.   inscription on reverse from the artist, to Bob Williams, the founder of the original Hydroplane Museum.   Very good looking piece.   This was an item from Bob's personal collection.  sorry, but I do not know the artist's name (first initial is possibly a "J" and the last name is possibly "Mesa").  Obviously, he is very talented.  The overall measurements of the matte are approx 17.5" by 14".  The artwork is approx. 15.5" by 12.5" and the actual portrait illustration is approx. 8" by 7.75".   this piece has been double matted with a thin plastic piece to protect the image.  This is the ORIGINAL art, not a mass produced item.   quick notes: winner of a record 12 APBA Gold Cups, member of the Motorsports Hall of Fame (in 1995, the youngest member inducted!).  driver of the Barney Armstrong Machine, Squire Shop, Atlas Van Lines, Circus Circus, and of course, The Miss Budweiser.   89.50

Signed by the artist, Jim Ivey of the San Francisco Examiner.  Titled GOING TO TAKE A BIT OF CHECKING.  Man wearing "WEST" badge is placing box inside of box inside of giant box labeled RUSSIAN A-BAN PROPOSAL.  Man wearing Hammer & Sickle logo badge is carrying briefcase that says TSARPKIN ( I am sure he is referring to the Soviet Ambassador, Semyon Tzarapkin).   Classic "cold war" cartoon.  Approx. 12" by 10.5".  Undated, but around 1962 vintage.  Personalized and signed again, in blue pencil, in lower right corner.   Overall in excellent to near mint condition.    60.00

Goalpost says “Goals of All U.S.” Football player has CARTER on jersey, #76 on back and the Democratic “D” on his helmet. He has just scored and is spiking the football which is called “THE ISSUES”. It reads “Rising Confidence of Voters”. Great piece. Measures approx. 9 ¾” by 11”. Overall in excellent condition.    45.00

Original artwork for a Political Cartoon by newspaper cartoonist NED WHITE. Signed and dated in the lower right, 1961. Personalized and signed in the upper left, with a presentation date of 1/25/62. Unfortunately, I do not know what newspaper this appeared in. Title READING GLASSES, there is a Democratic DONKEY in tuxedo, reading newspaper that says NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK CITY ELECTION RESULTS. His reading glasses say ‘62 – ’64. Art is on heavy Strathmore stock. Measures overall, 10” by 13 ½”. Good looking political item!    40.00

A Dove is carrying an Olive Branch that is tagged “Peace in Algeria” – his path is blocked by a giant boulder that is tagged “Hatreds and Suspicions of the Past”. Well done piece! Signed by the artist.  KARL HUBENTHAL  (Long-time cartoonist for the Los Angeles "Examiner") .   titled "Vintage Year for the Gopher Ball".  some of it reads: ... last month the Yankees walloped 32 in one 17 game stretch - a new A.L. record; June 8th the Braves hit 4 in a row in one inning! a new major league mark for consecutive homers  (batter swinging four bats with names ADCOCK, MATHEWS, THOMAS, AARON).  April 30th the Giants belted 8 homers in one game - equaling the major league mark! - Willie Mays personally collected 4 that afternoon...;  The National League has topped 200 H.R. four times:  A.L. Home Run Pace: with the expanded schedule of 162 games, this COULD be the year an A.L. Team finally hits 200.  The homer contest appears to be between the YANKEES (natch!) and Guess who?  Our ever-lovin' Last Place ANGELS, That's Who!  a GREAT piece.  approx. 16" by 12".  slightly larger than that, shrunkwrap with heavy cardboard backing for protection.  a killer display piece!  150.00

MAPLES  (Fort-Worth Star Telegram).  great piece with  man talking - named A. FAN to a baseball player lying on a padded giant bag of money labeled SUPER SALARIES.   he is eating grapes from a bowl labeled TRAVEL EXPENSES.  another fruit bowl on the ground is labeled EARLY RETIREMENT.  The champagne bucket is marked WHOPPING BONUSES.   there is a stuffed pig on a platter labeled  4 MONTHS VACATION A YEAR.  and there is a sign on the top that reads SUPER ENDORSEMENT BENEFITS.  The baseball player has a dollar sign on his jersey and again as a logo on his hat!   signed a second time with salutation in lower left.  He could have been lampooning today's players - BUT he was very prophetic, as this was drawn in the early 1970's!  approx. 15" by 12.5".   slightly larger than that, shrunkwrap with heavy cardboard backing for protection.  a killer display piece!  150.00

Signed by the artist.   IVEY, San Francisco Examiner and dated 9/1/60.  This one is a political cartoon with a baseball theme!  Titled "DON'T LOOK AT ME - I DIDN'T LAY IT!"   Shows 2 worried Penguins looking at a baseball at the North Pole.  In the background is the Submarine tower and banner from the SEADRAGON and American Naval sub.   A GREAT items from the "Cold War" period!   approx. 10" by 13".  shrunkwrap on cardboard backing.  near mint to mint.   remember, this is a one of a kind, original piece!  65.00

Signed by the artist.  AL BANX.  Large DARTMOUTH FOOTBALL piece with lots of small scenarios.  Penciled in the bottom border "Worcester Gazette - Mass." Not exactly sure the year of issue, but does mention the following players:  Old "Nanny: McCann; Bob Tyler; Sophomore Maloy; McDonald; Clayton; Curtis; Bryson; Jachowicz; Doyle; Starzynski; Sophomore Eddie Walsh.  chunk off the upper left corner.  corners dinged, but still displays nicely.  Large, approx. 20" by 14.5".  65.00

CECIL & DIPSTICK by Ray Collins.  ran in the editorial page of Seattle P.I. newspaper  from 1975-79.  CECIL can usually be found sitting on old log waxing philosophically with his friend DIPSTICK, a duck.  Politics and environmental issues in the Puget Sound area were there favorite fodder.  They had a STRONG local following.  Each strip is black ink on white heavy stock and measures approx. 14" by 5 3/4".  The titles listed are my own - taken from the dialogue.  Each is signed in lower right.  each strip is in excellent condition.  each is $25.00
