trophy. 31st NATIONAL MODEL AIRPLANE CHAMPIONSHIPS July 1962. U.S. Naval Air Station, Glenview Illinois. The bottom plaque reads "Event - C Speed - Sponsored by Academy of Model Aeronautics". not quite 12" tall. Has a 4" long JET mounted on the top. The mid section is black & white on polished brass (hard to get a good photo). The bottom plaque is engraved and printed in black. Dark walnut bas and upper section. A VERY high quality award. Killer display piece. No flaws. mint condition. 125.00
trophy. Magnificent figural airplane trophy, nickel plated on wood base. Engraved on front "TP Models & Hobbies - High Point Award - Junior - VMAL". It was designed to be an ongoing annual award. First issued in 1949. The reverse side is engraved with the year and the winner. Only 1949, 1950 and 1958 are entered. Obtained from an estate in Canada. a hair over 9.5" tall. The plane has a 6.25" wingspan. High quality modeling trophies are rarely found. Killer display item. 250.00
Aurora "DISPLAY YOUR AIRPLANE MODEL....." early 1950's issue, wall display mount. oval, clear plastic with world globe embossed. Screw mounts to the wall. approx. 6.5" arm extends out from the bracket, to mount your airplane. Mint in cellophane package with colorfully illustrated cardboard backing. The original cellophane has begun to deteriorate. Still, this is a nice display piece. Hast the older Aurora West Hempstead L.I. logo with the rays behind, but the logo is in black and is not colorful. this is a VERY unusual and hard to find item! 30.00
Revell H-1302:98 DISPLAY CASE. makes a curved top case up to 12" wide. clear plastic with pre-formed arched side panels. MISSING the wooden base (easily replaced). dated 1954. The illustrated box is missing one set of end panels. Box has some wear and stains on the side with the instructions. sold more as a museum piece than as a functional item - although can still be used. You just do not see these around anymore! 39.50

Made by Ross Chemical of Detroit. early 1950's. boxtop says it includes paint brush, but one is not included. The top of the box is warped, but can easily be pressed out. Minor creasing in top section. overall, not bad. displays okay. the only one like this that I have ever come across. interesting and obscure. 55.00

"Official U.S. Army Air Corps Colors - for model airplanes, tanks, ships, trucks, guns and trains." 1940's issue. instructions for use are printed on inside of box top. It contains 8 larger bottles of paint: rust brown, sand, light blue, neutral gray, sea green black, dark olive drab, dark green. the large bottle of "thinner" that was in the center has been replaced with a bottle of red DOPE. The paints are dried up and unusable. The boxtop artwork is gorgeous full color. The box contains it's interior inserts and the box overall, is in near mint to mint condition. a killer display item! Large, measures approx. 13.25" by 8.25". This is a very scarce set. You may never see another one this nice! 125.00
