late 1940's Sid Streets YANKEE DOODLE V A-64 Hydroplane race boat ORIGINAL photo. black and white. 4" by 5". obtained with larger collection of hydroplane photos from the Northwest. So I am leaping to the assumption that this is also taken here in the Pacific Northwest. according to vintagehdyroplanes.com: Fred Wicken's designed and built 3-point hydroplane. only four of these hulls were built around 1946-47 before Ventnor's lawyers told Fred to pay a licensing fee or knock it off. One of Sid Street's first boats was the Yankee Doodle V. He was Inboard's "Winningest" Champion and won the Jafco Trophy two years in a row 1946 & 1947. the photo does have some condition issues but it is still quite nice and scarce. 12.00

Keller who pre-1920 was a master mechanic who later became President of Chrysler. He had an interest in boat racing. His son won the Harwood Trophy Race in 1951). in the background are two 1920's cars; and two other race boats. one of the other boats is the H-17. crisp and clean image. 15.00

I purchased it for my own collection years back. photo appears to be early to mid 1950's. the women in the photo have been identified from left to right as" Mrs. William Gleason; Mrs Chuck Garrett; Mrs. Pierre Dow. no flaws. mint condition. this is the only one I have. 6 photos construction PARCOS O-RING MISS. Rich Ombrek Photographer, 1969-70. each is 8" by 10". dealing with the construction of an unlimited Hydroplane Boat. I am 99% sure this is PARCO'S O-RING MISS. On one of the walls there is a poster for the January 1970 Seattle SPEED SHOW. So this is after the '69 races and before the 1970 season. One photo shows firemen, a fire truck and some damaged office??? Each photo bears the stamp on reverse of Photographer Rich Ombrek of Seattle "SHOOT THE ACTION NOT THE ACTORS". giant MISS BUDWEISER hydroplane collision photo. Large color photo of the MISS BUDWEISER unlimited hydroplane race boat at the moment of impact with another boat. The sponson of the other boat can be seen right in the front of the Bud's hull. Sorry, do not know any other information. On the backside is a sticker from the photographer: Carl Homquist, All Marketing Consulting, Scottsdale Arizona. Overall, this large piece is 20" by 16". The actual photo measures approx. 15" by 12" and the actual view photo is approx. 10" by 13.5". PLEASE NOTE that there is a scratch on the image in the midsection of the boat. see our photos.
