pennant.  L.A. ANGELS PCL pennant.  1950's or earlier.  8 5/8” wide by 26” long – not counting the ties.  Older; thin; soft felt pennant. red lettering on dark blue reads LOS ANGELES ANGELS. Great logo of a winged angel with halo; wearing a baseball cap and twirling a baseball bat on his toe. red border stripe with all 4 matching ties intact. tip is intact.   No pinholes. Colors are strong and bright. Pacific Coast League pennants are extremely scarce. Although this does not specifically say PCL; the thin; soft flannel stock is very similar to 1940’s and early 1950’s pennants; as is the size.  excellent to near mint.  150.00

Sakai of Shiba Tokyo.  silver embossed in lower right corner of cabinet.  (The UW was the first American college team to play baseball in Japan).  Note the player in center back row holding large WASHINGTON pennant.  approx. 11" by 8.5" mounted on large size cabinet approx. 16.5" by 13".  Handwritten on reverse side in fountain pen: Picture taken during a ricksha [sic] ride to Veno and Shiba Parks given by Misses Kincaid and Hansee.  Sept. 11 1908.  it goes on to list the names of the people in the photograph. It then gives a synopsis of their trip that day.  sepia toned image is very sharp and crisp.  image is  the image is near mint or nicer. there is some minor wear to the cabinet.  rare photo!  1250.00

Furuya Co(The UW was the first American college team to play baseball in Japan).  approx. 10" by 8" mounted on large size cabinet approx. 17" by 14".  Handwritten on reverse side in fountain pen: Trip to Nikko Sep. 12 1908.  Taken by a Japanese Photographer in front of a Shinto Temple at Yomei gate.  Trip given by Mr. Furuya - a Japanese merchant of Seattle - thru his manager of Yokohama branch store - Mr. Tanaka.  Trip lasted for two days from Sat. Morning until Sun. evening.  there is list of names of all the people in the photo.  Also in the group were some Japanese reporters who were given the nicknames: The Gorilla; The Monk and The Fox the image is very crisp and clear.  there are some surface scuffs to the tree trunk.  the cardboard has wear.  overall very nice and rare!  1250.00
