game.  TABLE TOP BOWLING by HG.  1960's vintage.   hardwood bowling pins, balls return automatically.  played with marbles, which are included.  pins are approx. 1 3/8" tall.  vacuformed plastic "alley" is included.  there is a crack in the back top edge of the vacuform, but this does not affect the play of the game, nor is it a major detraction.  Neat game, functional.  I have never seen another one.  Neat for bowling collectors, game collectors and marble collectors.  box is excellent and measures overall, approx. 10" by 8.25" by 1.25".  24.00

record album.  From Bowling's Hall of Fame JOE WILMAN Shows you HOW TO BOWL YOUR BEST.  Clear, concise and complete bowling instructions by the nation's Number One Bowling instructor.  Epic #LB-2700 record album.  33rpm.   bifold album with illustrations.  great color cover photo of him.  liner notes read: No bowler in history has compiled a more illustrious record than Joe Wilman.  He is the only living bowler with four American Bowling Congress titles to his credit, and at one time or another has held virtually every major bowling championship.  In 1946, Joe was named "Bowler of the Year" and he reached bowling's highest pinnacle  in 1951 when he was voted into the ABC Hall of Fame ....".  record is mint.  the album jacket is near mint to mint.  very scarce album!  you would be very hard pressed to find a nicer copy!  39.50

BOWLING.  Very early, circa 1890's cast white metal figural piece of man in vest & handlebar moustache holding bowling ball.  To the right is pile of pins and ball under a scoring clock with a rat on top.  Nice dark blackish gray finish.  approx. 6" by 3" by 7 1/2".  Base is weighted so item could be used as a bookend even.  Very early and VERY attractive piece.  no flaws.  near mint.  495.00

BOWLING.  Magnificent figural BOWLING CLOCK.  approx. 15" by 4" by 12".  Wood base with gold finished figural bowler man with giant black wooden bowling ball behind him. Between them is a gold finished figural ball return.  He is bowling at 3 figural golden pins that are in front of giant wooden pin.  In the center of the large pin is mounted an electric clock made by United.  1950's vintage, still working.  Attractive and functional display piece.  139.50

Pocket Size     BOWLING CARD GAME. Warren Products #495.  For ages 8 and up.  Strikes, spares, fouls, splits, turkeys.  1950's vintage.  Game is complete and near mint.  Played once or twice and stored away all these years.  Includes color illustrated box.  22.00

BOWLING beer glass.  High quality, full color illustration of bowler, rim trimmed in gold.  Reads: "EIC - LEAGUE, HEIDELBERG GERMANY, 1963".  On reverse, along lip it is acid etched 0.25L - signifying that it holds a 1/4 liter.  Very thin, quality glass.   A hair over 5" tall.  BEAUTIFUL piece!  mint condition.   40.00

Syrocco BOWLING Cigarette Case & Ashtray.  circa 1940, approx. 8” by 4 ½” by 2” high.  Magnificent Syrocco, Multi-products, wood composition CIGARETTE CASE with removable lid attached to ashtray. High relief image of bowler on lid, high relief image of pins in center of ashtray. Cigarette rests in corners are large black bowling balls. LUCKILY, the ashtray was never used by a smoker, so there are no burns or deterioration. Magnificently carved on all sides. Minor edge wear. Overall, superior condition. Solid, heavy piece! One of the nicest items I have seen done in this medium. A great bowling collectible!  excellent plus or better!   65.00

pennant.  NEW LISBON.  white letters on green soft felt.  white border with matching tassels.  tip is intact.  Large color graphics of 2 young men fishing.  Circa 1915 vintage!  This came from a family estate in Wisconsin. so I am assuming that this is New Lisbon, Wisconsin.  Large, wide.  a whopping 35" long.  The green is lightly faded, but not awful.  You rarely see a pennant related to fishing, and such and early one!  Excellent or nicer!   125.00

1888 TRADE CARD.  approx. 5" by 3.25".  Mixed doubles - man getting hit smack in the face with tennis ball.  full color.  Lithographed by Buffords.  Reverse has advertising for Bankers Life Insurance of Lincoln Nebraska.  There is tiny nip in upper left corner of border.  Colors are strong and bright.  Overall near mint.  35.00

1950 Los Angeles Transit Lines Pass pictures TENNIS QUEEN - BEVERLY BAKER BECKETT.  Below her is ad for Annual L.A. Metropolitan Tennis Championship that is played weekends in January at Griffith Playground.  approx. 3.75" by 2.25".  Tiny almost invisible pin hole in lower left corner. Very tiny, tiny rip in bottom edge below photo.  excellent plus.  29.50

1933 Souvenir Program THE CANADIAN LAWN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS.  16 pages.  This was the Final Edition.  Scored lightly in pencil.  overall excellent.  49.00

1880's Spalding diecut TENNIS player cardA.G. Spalding & Bros., 5” tall by 3 ½” wide.  FANTASTIC diecut advertising piece from the famous Sports Equipment maker, A.G. Spalding & Bros. On the back is a brief summary of the game of Tennis. On the backside are some very minor wheat paste residue spots – which should clean off with no problem. The colors are bright and vivid. There is a surface nick on her cheek, the size of a small pinhead. Also, there is a pinhead sized stain on her right shoulder, nearly invisible. The tennis racket in here hand is called THE SPAULDING. There is a very faint crease line across her neck – not visible from the front, only visible from the backside. A beautiful example of a highly sought after TENNIS collectible!  excellent.  145.00

1880's Spalding diecut TENNIS player card.  A.G. Spalding & Bros., 5” tall by 3 ½” wide.  FANTASTIC diecut advertising piece from the famous Sports Equipment maker, A.G. Spalding & Bros. On the back is a brief summary of the game of Tennis.  The colors are bright and vivid.  The tennis racket in here hand is called THE SPAULDING.   there is very tiny ding in lower right corner.  There is a surface chip on her wrist - nothing awful.  Someone has attached a small piece of cardboard on the back to act as an easel, so that it can be displayed standing up - like a desk piece.  A beautiful example of a highly sought after TENNIS collectible!  near mint.  150.00

1930's or possibly earlier, figural ceramic decanter of TENNIS PLAYER.  Head is removeable.  Made in Japan, very stylish, Art Deco looking.  Red beret, round black glasses, red shoes, blue design on shirt, yellow racket in left hand.  Stands 9 1/4" tall.  No cracks or chips, minor paint wear to the "cold glaze" surface paint.  Attractive and unusual display item!   125.00

Murad Cigarettes, circa 1910 T-51 Tobacco Card. Young man holding TENNIS RACKET. Has DELPHI COLLEGE school crest with pennant in school colors of gold on brown. Reverse has advertising and list of other cards in the College Series 26-50. Colors are bright and crisp, corners are a bit "soft" with minor tiny corner crease in upper right. Back is clean. No creasing.  very good plus to excellent or better.    12.50

Murad Cigarettes, circa 1910 T-51 Tobacco Card. Young man holding TENNIS RACKET. Has POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE OF BROOKLYN school crest with pennant in school colors of gold on blue. Reverse has advertising and list of other cards in the College Series 26-50. Colors are bright and crisp, corners are a bit "soft" with minor tiny corner crease in upper left corner and lower right. Also some "wrinkle" lines - not creases - nothing severe. Back is clean.  very good plus or better.  12.50

1927 TENNIS MEDAL. Green ribbon with red, blue and white vertical stripes. Medallion has raised image on front of Eagle on top of Shield with crossed Tennis Rackets behind. Raised lettering reads UNITED STATES LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION. The backside is engraved “SPOKANE, Tennis Center Championship, Boy’s Doubles, WARREN ALLEN, 1927”. Although it is NOT marked, I believe this is Sterling. Nice age patina. Pin clasp on reverse of ribbon. No flaws.   near mint to mint     65.00

Tin Tennis Ball can, SPALDING "PANCHO GONZALEZ" Signature Model Tennis Balls. 1950’s or early 60’s. INCLUDES a used ball, where the logo and facsimile autograph are clearly seen – BUT, someone has written their initials in ink. In the foreground there are spectators visible. In the far off background, across the water, is the outline of a domed building. The boat in the background has exposed engine with driver in front of engine and co-pilot in the rear. The other 2 boats have a hood over the engine, with both pilot and co-pilot behind it. Box has hinged lid, and at one time had built-in key lock (which is NOT functioning). Approx. 8” by 2 ½” by 1 ½”. Overall superior condition with light soiling. There is a small surface tear in lower right corner the size of a nail head.  Great display piece!  125.00

Gessele.  Although undated, my educated guess is early 1950's vintage.  Fantastic table top game.  Includes "spring loaded" devices to propel your wooden "stones".  Game is complete and parts are in perfect condition.  The box shows edge wear with split corners and chunk out of the right side panel.  Includes instruction booklet in German, and someone has done simple translation of rules to English.  Colorful boxtop artwork shows them playing with curling stones and also a game with wooden discs.  GREAT, oddball Curling collectible.  The first one I have ever come across!  Overall, measures approx. 15.75" by 11".   Parts mint and complete, box very good.  Nice display item!   100.00

HEAVY (weighs 4 pounds), cast bronze plate with 5 raised images cast into center, of Korean musicians and a dancer. Below, in border is engraved KOREAN OLYMPIC COMM, 1956. Obtained from a woman who was involved with the U.S. Olympic Committee for over 30 years. Presented to her by the Korean Olympic Committee on behalf of work she did. A quality item, possibly unique. It has NOT been cleaned, there is a very nice patina built up. 2 minor “dings” along rim at about 9 o’clock. Also, small water spot above head of top figures. They are used, but are near mint. 5 of the 6 still have the foil label on the inside of the feathers. The tube says these are "MEDIUM" flight. Tube measures 16 ¼" long by 2 ¾" diameter. Both ends are removable. Container is in excellent condition with no defects.   45.00

WAR BONNET ROUNDUP, SEPT. 7 - 14, '14 IDAHO FALLS (Idaho).  White lettering on soft green felt.  White border.  Magnificent full color INDIAN portrait in center.  White border strip.  The tip is intact.  For some unknown reason, when we got this pennant, the top was folded over, so that the WAR BONNET was unreadable, and stitched in place.  We have removed the stitching.  There is no damage, there is minor "stitch holes".  No rips, no tears, no stains.  The colors are unbelievably strong and bright.  Hard to believe that this great rodeo item is from 1914!  measures approx.  10.75" by 28.75" long.  Designed to display vertically.  250.00

21st Annual MAN OF THE YEAR Award Banquet, Seattle Post-Intelligencer - December 29, 1955.  This is the program, 4 pages, printed on heavy gloss stock.  Cover photo of ARNOLD RIEGGER the 1954 Man of the Year.  There are caricatures (by PI artist Fred Marshall)  with short bios of the nominees for the year, including: Seattle Rainier BOBBY BALCENA (his picture is autographed); rifleman Marlene Bellinger; tennis Janet Hopps; high school sport star Bob Jacobs, Hydroplane boat designer Ted Jones; Garfield High School Swede Lindquist; golfer Pat Lesser; Seattle hockey superstar Guyle Fielder; figure skater Clarence Hislop; ski jumper Ragnar Ulland and UW football star Fred Robinson (he personally autographed his picture).   a major piece of Seattle sport history - these early ones are very hard to get.  LIMITED print runs, for the guests who attended.  They are STILL doing an annual event!  excellent plus.   75.00

print.  1890 full color lithographed page from JUDGE Magazine.  Titled  "SPORT MAD".  Uncle Sam already shows signs of his annual lunacy.  artwork by Flohri.   Fantastic full color lithography of UNCLE SAM wearing a sports beanie with stack of Sporting News Newspapers under his arm and tons of Score Cards and Passes dangling from him.  He is being pulled toward a crowd of sportsmen that includes a jockey, athlete, base ball player, oarsman, lawn tennis player, shooter, lacrosse player.  There is a pole with a banner that reads PENNANT 1890.  colors are strong and bright.  great piece of Americana!  and they didn't even have ESPN back then!!!!    measures approx. 13" by 10".  Nice decorative item.  125.00

print.  1898 full color lithographed page from JUDGE Magazine.  Titled "THE INCONGRUITIES OF SPORT".  Showing how some men fail to find their proper athletic level, for the reason that they are not built that way.   In the center is a cartoon of a very tall and lanky CROQUET FIEND.  around him are cartoons of Base Ball Impresario, tennis hero, pugilist, bowler, canoeist, sprinter, foot-ball artist, bicycle crank, horseman.  artwork by Hamilton.  colors are strong and bright.  QUITE funny.  measures approx. 13" by 10".  Nice decorative item.  45.00

MARATHON.  unbelievably unusual and rare, soft felt pennant.  circa 1911 vintage.  Individually sewn dark red lettering on green.  BELLINGHAM (Washington State).  Colorful illustration of a Mountain Goat in runners uniform.  Read's GOA-TO-IT!  MT. BAKER MARATHON.  (note the play on the word "goat").  Missing one streamer on top.  Point is intact but a tiny bit tattered.  There are a few moth holes, nothing awful.  Large, measuring approx.  34.75" by 14.25", not counting the streamers.  Made by Langrock Bros. of New York.   This race was run for 3 years only, 1911-1913.  The first leg was an automobile race from downtown Bellingham to a trail head at the base of Mt. Baker (roughly 70 miles), then the contestant had to race up to the top of the mountain, back down again, and then race the car to back to Bellingham!   No wonder it only lasted three years!  A beautiful piece!  395.00

old RUGBY Football padlock, 1920’s or older, 3” by 2 ¼”.  unknown maker. In raised lettering on front it says RUGBY, and also has illustration of a FOOTBALL. It looks like an American style football to me, with tapered ends. Remember, many American schools switched to Rugby rules from about 1900 to to 1919 or there about. Great piece. There is light gold tone color left – but it is mostly worn off. Highly unusual oddball item for the Football collector, the Rugby collector and most definitely for the padlock collector!   excellent   49.50

roller skating.  Full color advertising trade card from the late 1880's. Titled "IN TOW" it has a young boy wearing roller skates, holding onto the coat tail of the older man in front of him, who is also skating. Others skaters in background. Reads: "Compliments of "THE MONOGRAM", Barker and Thompson, 59 Commercial St., Salem Oregon. The reverse side has more advertising for THE MONOGRAM which appears to have been dealers and importers of Fine Key West and Domestic Cigars, All Kinds of Tobacco and Notions, Etc.". In very nice condition. Normal wear with light creases in upper right. Colors are strong and vivid. NICE, early roller skating piece, as well as a great advertising item.  25.00

1921 RANGER BICYCLES Catalogue from Mead Cycle Co. of Chicago, Illinois. Tri-color illustrations, 50 pages, approx. 8 ½” by 11”. Over 15 different models pictured with tons of illustrations. There is pencil writing on the back cover. Appears to have been stored in a moist area, as there is light water staining, and some red "bleed through” on the illustrations. Very readable, overall very good. Great reference material!    165.00
