Figural Decanters

figural decanter.  Famous Firsts Kentucky Whiskey INDY 11 FORMULA RACE CAR. 12" long.  On the bottom it is dated 1971 "INDY Hand Painted R.E.M. Originals - Italy".  Signed Guido, Made in Italy, Hand painted.  The wheels turn.  Decanter is empty, but does retail all it's originals stickers and labels.  There are some rough edges on the base, where the wheel hubs rub against the axles.  On top, the only visible flaw is a tiny nick at the far left tip of the right rear torsion bar tip, behind the right rear wheel.  POSSIBLY a factory flaw.  Displays as mint.  A magnificent piece it it's original plain white factory issued carton with protective cardboard inserts.  SCARCE!  75.00

figural decanter.  Lionstone famous STP TURBOCAR #40 RACE CAR.  Made by Bailey, 1970.  Large and impressive.  about 13" long.  detailed and complete.  Even has ANDY GRANATELLI facsimile autograph on bottom.  empty, but still has all of the stamps, labels, stickers.  No cracks, no chips, no flaws.  Mint with illustrated box.  Box is excellent.  A great display item. RARE!  150.00

decanter.  INDIANAPOLIS 500 figural decanter.  High glaze ceramic.  May 30th 1970.  shows racer in raised relief on front.  the reverse side shows the INDY 500 logo and reads "The World's Greatest Sports Spectacle 1911-1970.  made by Regal China for Jim Bean Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.  issued in 1970.  (empty).  labels intact.  no flaws.   9" tall, 8" across.  great display piece!  25.00

figural decanter.  Ezra Brooks SPEEDWAY RACER #21.  Issued in 1970,  almost 12" long, Heritage China, trimmed in real Platinum.  Dark blue and white.   Original Whiskey has been drained, but the bottle retains all the labels, stickers, stamps, etc.   No flaws (except it is empty).  Mint in original illustrated box.  Great display piece.   39.50

Figural Chalkware paperweight.  7 3/4" long, cast in heavy plaster with gold finish.  Sleek "art deco" styled race car.  One side has raised lettering on base that reads INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY.  On the other side, in raised lettering: 500 MILE RACE, MAY 30, 1941.  Black felt on base.  No chips, no cracks, no repairs.  Minor wear to gold paint along the edge.  Overall near mint.  295.00

Postcard.  Full color aerial photo overlooking entire INDY 500 race grounds. Captioned on back: 500 MILE SPEEDWAY, INDIANAPOLIS, IND. “Aerial view of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Originally started in 1909, the 2 ½ mile oval is improved yearly, making it the greatest race course and proving ground in the world.  It covers an area of 433 acres and contains an 18 hole golf course within the oval. #48169 in lower left corner. Attractive frosted glass mug with shaped wooden handle that is held on with 2 polished brass straps. There is a finely detailed, raised 3-dimensional image of the LEADER CARD 500 ROADSTER in gold finish. On the reverse side it says 1959 RODGER WARD 135.857 mph. Made circa 1960 vintage. Made by Siesta ware. 5” tall by 2 ¾” diameter, 5” wide at the handle. No defects, MINT condition. Great display item.    28.50

Rambler.  MAJOR piece.  Celluloid hand held baseball scorer.  diecut.  front pictures in full color, a circa 1910 RAMBLER parked in front of Rambler dealership.  The wheels turn.  All together there are 8 scorers.  Innings, outs, and the runs, hits and errors for both the visitors and home teams.  On the reverse side, it pictures fat White Sox player named LITTLE ALEXANDER.  and reads "Little Alexander "Mine Host to 35,000 Fans".  On the bottom is Bear Cub holding bat and reads "A Hearty Welcome to Every National Bug".   In the middle it reads "Do You Know the RAMBLER?  It's The Car that's Built Right.  Ready Any Moment Besides Long Easy Ride.:  Note that the first letter in each word spells RAMBLER.  The Thomas B. Jeffery Co. of Illinois, 1008 Michigan Ave., Chicago.   It also says "For duplicates of this counter, send 10 cents".   Measures approx. 3.75" long by 2" tall.  An absolutely magnificent piece in mint condition!!!  I have kept this for my own personal collection for years, but now it is time to part with it.  600.00

Very nice, earlier PENNSYLVANIA PATRICIAN TIRE ASHTRAY. Black rubber tire is 5.5" diameter. Raised lettering on the sidewall PENNSYLVANIA PATRICIAN. Reverse side is identical. Has the original, thick clear glass ashtray that is molded specifically to snap into the tire and lock firmly in place. There are 6 "indentations" in the glass to cradle cigarette. There are no chips, no cracks, no flaws. The tire is a bit dirty from age, but there are no rips, no holes, no tears, no deterioration. It is in near mint to mint condition with no flaws.   21.50
