ECLECTIC WAX How come the pros all have such clean and bright toys? A lot of them don't want to share with you their secret - but here it is.

cast iron BULLET RACE CAR. 5.75" long. Late 1920's. Has pair of drivers molded into cockpit. very sleek. bullet shaped design with pointed rear. Solid white rubber tires. I have never seen this piece, so I am not positive of the maker, although I think it is Arcade. Original green paint is very good. All original. No repairs. no breaks. nothing missing. The white rubber tires are hard and crazed, but intact and not wobbly (except the right rear one is a bit wobbly). 250.00

Glen Dimension GD SPECIAL open wheel race car. pressed steel with large black rubber tires. 1950's. 8.75" long. the finish is quite worn but the name is still quite visible on both sides. body and tires are excellent but the finish is quite worn. this company is much more know for it's plastic race cars. scarcer piece. 69.50

Black hood piece. has yellow driver. polished tin radiator has "21" in raised relief. windup motor is in excellent working condition. 6.75" long. no rust. no damage. the red paint has dulled and oxidized. overall, very nice. not a common racer! 145.00

very unusual RACE CAR #7. black wheels. aluminum body. Red with #7 on sides. 7" long. 1930's vintage. at first appearance, it appears that it might have been homemade. BUT, the numbers on the side are professionally screened and the wheels are molded with tire treads. wire screen nose. oddball piece. shows wear but still presentable. neat. early design. 79.50

circa 1930 Kingsbury RACE CAR. a hair over 10" tall. pressed steel with driver figure. circular windup mechanism on base. has been completely restored, and repainted to original colors. works great. rich green with silver trim, black wheels with red hubs. Driver is wearing brown hat with silver goggles. This is an extremely scarce race car that is rarely seen in any condition! looks great. 650.00

1950's BEAR in EAGLE RACER #5 Japan Tin friction. Japanese tin lithographed. friction drive. Approx. 5.75" long. RACE CAR #5. Red, white, blue, yellow. Has vinyl BEAR head for the driver (head can turn). If you look closely, you will note the lithography of an Eagle. His wings are on the sides of the car, with his head litho on the very front of the hood. The cockpit is the bird's body! Very clever. Black rubber tires with white tin hubcaps. Car is complete. Friction motor is NOT grabbing fully. There are no dents or dings. I have not cleaned or polished it. Will clean up quite nice! 65.00

Japanese tin lithographed. friction drive. larger. approx. 10" long. RACE CAR #11. UNIBODY design. Underbelly is silvery gray. Car is red with logos for ESSO, SHELL, CHAMPION, NINNE CIRCLE. 1960's vintage with hollow black vinyl tires with plated hubcaps. Car is complete with all hubcaps and lithographed windshield. Has neat driver head with helmet. Friction motor is working. There are no dents or dings. I have not cleaned or polished it. BUT, note the photos, it has this funky white showing thru the litho. An unusual car, only one of these that I ever owned! 69.50

Driver is molded in place with blue, black and flesh-tone colors. The body has detail lines molded into the rubber. very unusual and different. MORMAC FIREFLY. Yellow with red base. red steering wheel. hard plastic. 10.25" long. Black rubber tires are all marked Mormac Toys. Mounted on metal hubs. This toy was sold as a wind-up, and as a free roller. This one is free wheeling, with no mechanism. Original paper label is still intact and mint. Car does have the normal warpage problems associated with this early 1950's type of plastic. Nothing awful. displays very nicely. no cracks, no breaks, no chips. excellent. 95.00

scratch built. INDIANAPOLIS 500 race car. Vintage Boat Tail racer #97. 6.25" long. scratch built about 40 years ago by a private collector. Some plastic kit parts, some scratch built and customized from metal, some vacuform. great detailing. Raised lettering on the valve cover reads MOROSO. Lots of nice detail work. no damage. S & K Racing Products #ELC2000M. Bill Elliott's SUPER RACEWAY STOCK CAR. McDonalds #94 NASCAR. 1:12 scale. does not appear to have ever been run. Issued in 1995. original cost was almost $300.00!!! Pre-painted body, extra decals, pistol grip radio transmitter, electronic speed control, 7.2V rechargeable battery, one hour charger, stock motor, assembled ready to run chassis. The car is an impressive 18" long. Color photo of Bill Elliott on the boxtop, with facsimile autograph. On the box it claims: anything you can do with a real car, you can do with this one; every part is repairable - replaceable - upgradeable; car can reach up to 100mph (real speed, not scale speed). Complete with no flaws. I have not tested it - I see no reason that is would not run perfectly. The contents are flawless, the box is excellent. very large box measures approx. 31" by 11" by 5". 189.50
