Hubley; World War I vintage; circa 1917; cast iron; OPEN TOURING CAR. 7 1/8” long; black with red cast iron; spoked wheels. Has driver and female passenger in backseat. The car itself is all original; no breaks or repairs. I do NOT think that the people are original to this car. They look GREAT – and are close to the correct scale. Also; the cast iron steering wheel and post looks great; but I think it is from another vehicle. Paint is very good to excellent. Great looking; early toy.  excellent.   295.00

MISTER MAGOO CAR.  tin lithographed battery operated.  Made by Hubley.  1961 issue.  no rust. battery compartment clean but not working.  missing the black cloth roof.  no dents. no scratches.  excellent plus or nicer.  150.00

POLICE JEEP.  battery operated tin litho.  10" long.  1960's vintage.  Made in Japan (no makers mark).  blue and white with P.D. No. 2 shield on hood.  black rubber tires.  the hood mounted machine gun and the driver are plastic.  complete and clean.  no rust.  no dents.  no gouges.  the light bulb in the end of the machine gun barrel is not working (may be just a loose wire).  motor works great.  TV Screen on rear has a speed boat lithographed on it.  excellent to near mint.  129.50

original issue Distler PORSCHE 356 - 7500 Electromatic.  10.25" long.  (approx. 1:18 scale).  1950's.  Made in Germany.  Battery operated.  includes "key" with leather fob.  red with gray seats and dark gray tonneau.  The chrome grill on the rear is pushed up to remove the tonneau - to expose battery compartment.  very minor wear to the base plate (which illustrates how to change batteries).  The only flaw is there was small dent on right rear tail light area that has been straightened - and touched up.  only noticeable upon close inspection.  displays beautifully.  no rust.  no missing parts.  overall it is excellent plus or nicer.  sold out

LUXURY CLASS OLD-TIME TOURING CAR.  late 1950's issue.  Japanese tin litho; battery operated.  black with nice trim work.  blue tinted windows.  full tin litho interior.  10.5" long by approx. 5.75" tall.  no rust; works fine.  smokes.  one headlight works great; the other one works sometimes - I think the bulb is going dead.  no box; but overall condition is excellent to near mint.  VERY good looking car!  125.00

1917 OLD TIME GRANDPA CAR.  1960's vintage.  8.75" long by a bit over 6" tall.  Japanese tin litho battery operated.  dark brownish maroon with black fender; yellow radiator.  Has tin litho driver with molded vinyl head.  His head bobbles up and down, as the car rock and shakes from side to side.  "1917" on license plates.  no rust, no damage.  working.  excellent to near mint condition.  no box.  good looking piece!  69.50

Tin Wind-Ups

THE MIGHTY MIDGET Sedan.  Made in U.S. Germany by Distler.  circa 1947-48.  tin litho windup.  green and yellow.  2.75" long.  on/off switch on rear.  no play wear.  minor box rubs.   box is intact and complete.  excellent with very good plus to excellent box.  79.50

HUKI MAGIC.  #4005.  Made in Western Germany.  early 1950's tin lithographed windup PORSCHE.  approx. 5" long.  has "wheel" in center of the baseplate so that the car will not roll over the table edge - thus the "Magic" name!  Convertible with roof up.  red with full color litho windows that illustrated Man driver with woman in passenger seat.  Young girl and boy in rear.  black metal base plate.  Never played with.  the car is mint in excellent plus card stock box.  The illustrated box does show minor shelf wear but is complete and intact.  includes generic windup key.  Scarce vehicle that is rarely found this nice!  300.00

JNF.  TELESTEERING Split Window Volkswagen.  Made in U.S. Zone Germany.  late 1940's.  tin windup.  7" long.  License Plate #IN-35.  has detailed interior.  does not appear to have ever been played with.  I believe it originally came with 2 road markers - but all that is included now are the pair of wooden bases.  the toy is mint except for minor scratching below the key hole from where the car rubbed against the metal wire while packaged.  includes a mint condition color illustrated box complete with interior inserts.  a very hard to find early VW that is rarely seen in such fine condition.  near mint to mint with mint box.  895.00

Unique Art.  G.I. JOE and His JOUNCING JEEP Crazy Car.  tin lithographed windup.  1940's.  made in U.S.A.  approx. 7" long by 7" tall.  crazy erratic stop and go action.  Comic Army G.I. pops wheelies and is bouncing up and down with his helmet flopping back and forth.  On the hood it has GR5-4065 - WATCH JOE GO and SUPERSONIC SPEED is on the other side.  The rear sides read: ATOMIC BRAKES.  superior condition.  no rust.  no dents. no gouges.  All original.  the finish is bright and shining as is the mechanism.  There is almost no wear at all to the wheels  The only flaw- and it is VERY minor - is a very very teeny tiny dent in center of the star on hood (only noticeable upon close inspection).  overall C-9.5 plus or better.  Near mint but no box.  289.50

CRAZY CAR JEEP.   6.5" long tin litho windup.  Made in Argentina.  1940's vintage.  full color graphics.   Great color and great action.  works fine!   excellent plus.   495.00

Rollover CLOWN CAR.  1920's tin litho windup.  Made in Germany.  maker is unknown to me. but here is picture of logo.  10.5" long.  Clown drives along in upper touring car and then suddenly the car completely rolls over.   The green plate at the top that holds the two "hoops" steady has been professionally replaced.  works fine.  excellent plus condition or better!  scarce!  3295.00

Circa 1915.  Early German made by BING.  9.5" tin windup  SEDAN.  dark blue and black with red pin striping.  Has tin driver and opening doors.  complete and working.  front view.   rear view.   looking down.   very good condition.  1500.00

ROLLS ROYCE (or at least I think it is?).  Large 14" English made tin litho windup.  Sedan with driver figure.  green with cream pin striping.    impressive looking!   tin lithographed wheels.  1930's vintage.   excellent to near mint.   850.00

 "TA-RA-RA-BOOM" Clown Car.   1920's.   German.   7" long tin litho windup.  very colorful with four clowns inside old style open touring car.  Please note that the umbrella in his hand has been re-attached long ago and is not very stable.  otherwise excellent & extremely rare!   4500.00

1920's German 4" tin litho  windup "Nickel" Toy SEDAN   w/Driver figure.  Light yellowish pea green with gray wheels.  Tight and clean.  Has not been messed with.  No rust. colors are bright.  Works perfectly.  near mint.   250.00

MILTON BERLE CRAZY CAR or Jeep. Marx tin litho windup.  late 1940's to early 1950's vintage.  colorful.  works great.  forward back and rears up.  includes parts of the box.   near mint.   595.00

Tin Friction Drive

YELLOW CAB.  Japanese tin litho friction drive taxi cab.  yellow with green roof with red and white checkerboard design.  white TAXI roof sign.  rear sign reads "Always be Careful Crossing Streets".  1950's.  5.25" long.  very colorful with nickeled bumpers; windshield frame; and hood ornament.  missing hubcaps for both rear tires.  overall excellent.  a charming piece!  45.00

Bandai VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE.  8" long.  circa 1960 vintage.  neutral coppery tan color with friction drive.  full litho interior.  lots of chrome trim.  the windshield and rear window do not have the clear acetate windows (easily replaced).  couple small dimples on the roof.  wear to the hubcaps.  all the trim pieces are present and accounted for.  overall very good or nicer.  59.50

Bandai 1956-57 CHEVROLET NOMAD "NEWSPAPER DELIVERY" Station Wagon.  10" long Japanese tin litho friction drive.   black with ads on sides.  (has the 1957 style tail lights).  full interior with rear opening hatch.  lots of trim pieces.  front wheel friction drive works.  celluloid front windshield is intact.  MISSING the rear hatch upper frame.  still display nicely.  otherwise complete and intact.  minor dimples and light wear.  very good or nicer.  uncommon piece.  229.00

Bandai 1956-57 CHEVROLET NOMAD AMBULANCE Station Wagon.  10" long Japanese tin litho friction drive.  white with RED CROSS logos.  has red siren on right front fender.  full interior with opening rear tail gate. (has the 1957 style tail lights). blue tint celluloid windows.  lots of chrome trim.  has the correct hubcaps with the Chevy bowtie logo on each.  front wheel friction drive slips a bit.  no dents. no rust.  colors are strong and bright.  near mint condition.  attractive and hard to find ambulance!  249.50

large 12" long FAT CAR Convertible.  early 1950's.  Dark red with lots of chrome trim.  turquoise dashboard and plaid seats.  beige metal hubcaps and black rubber tires.  Friction drive.  Japanese tin litho friction drive.  Car makes "whirring" sound when pushed along. works fine. no play wear.  The windshield frame appears to be a professionally hand made replacement - quality piece.  no dents or scrapes.  superior condition!  hard to find this nice.  excellent plus to near mint.  645.00

early 1950's BUICK CONVERTIBLE in blue.  dark maroon seats with cream colored tonneau.  Japanese tin litho.  friction drive motor is strong and works great.  black rubber tires.  black metal base plate shows no wear.  the front Chrome hubcaps say BUICK in raised script..  lots of chrome trim.  Large "fat car" is 11" long.  all the trim pieces are intact and complete.  when the car is rolled forward the motor makes a mild "siren" like sound.  no rust - chrome is bright and shining.  there is a microscopic "kink" in the front windshield frame near the steering wheel (almost invisible).  other than that there are no dents.  no dings.  no scratches.  near mint plus to mint - but no box.  as nice as you will find!   595.00

late 1950's BMW ISETTA 700.   6.75" long.  Japanese tin litho.  Made by Bandai #588.  friction drive.  strong motor works fine.  scarce 2 tone blue with yellow seats with red checkered pattern.  front opens to reveal steering wheel and detailed interior.  lots of chrome trim.  no rust - chrome is bright.  no dents.  no gouges.  a few minor paint nicks.  missing the clear acetate windshield (easily replaced).  Missing the two front hubcaps.   overall excellent condition.  scarce color variation of a very popular car.   179.50

AUSTIN HEALY 100/6 Sports Car.  circa 1959 issue.  8.25" long.  Japanese tin litho.  made by Bandai #810.  friction drive.  open convertible race car.  red and white with racing #8.  black rubber tires.  strong friction motor works fine.  complete with no flaws.  near mint.  250.00

1953-55 MG TF.  8.75" long.  Japanese tin litho.  made by Bandai.  friction drive.  dark green with red interior and pale yellow tonneau.  black rubber tires.  lots of trim pieces.  strong friction motor works fine.  complete with no flaws - other than normal age oxidation to tin trim pieces.  excellent plus.  225.00

BATMOBILE.  very rare and unusual tin lithographed friction drive BATMAN AND ROBIN car.  late 1960's vintage.  Made in Japan by I believe it is Ichiko (logo of stylized Indian head with feathers sticking straight back).  approx. a hair over 6" long.  when pushed along, the disc inside the hood spins around.  predominantly red and yellow with BATMAN and BAT logos lithographed.  BATMAN and ROBIN can be seen lithoed on the windows.  there is some scratching on the roof, otherwise in superior condition.  no rust, no dents.  very scarce and unusual piece!  425.00

c.1950 Jap. tin litho OLD TIMER Car by TKK.  Made in Japan.  approx. 3 1/8" long.   friction driver.   Rear wheels are very thin. have sandpaper like texture to edge for better gripping. Works great. Made of brittle hard plastic with clear windows. As the box reads: an authentic replica, powerful friction motor, glass clear windows, colored lights, chrome plated bumpers, wheel hubs and fittings, bonnet opens - showing engine details, boot opens - containing luggage and spare wheel. The box pictures 3 pieces of luggage, but the car only comes with two. Never played with. There is very minor distortion along edge of roof line due to "glue" reaction over the years. This is a common fault with these early plastic pieces - not a big deal, something one lives with if they collect them. C-9.5. unplayed with. near mint to mint inside excellent box. Box shows minor shelf wear. Very hard to find car. rarely seen in nice shape. never seen MIB. Early Hong Kong plastic vehicles in this scale are RARE!   sorry sold

1962 VAUXHILL VICTOR. Brittle hard plastic. Made in Hong Kong. box says CLIFFORD SERIES. Front wheel friction drive. Pale yellow with blue interior, white steering wheel, chrome trim pieces, clear windows. Bonnet opens and comes with 2 pieces of removeable luggage. Box says: Electroplated bumpers, radiator, handles, road wheels, powerful friction motor, scale model. No play wear. MISSING the front bumper. Should be fairly easy to remake, as it was not a complicated piece. There is an almost invisible, very faint, hairline in roof, right above the windshield. It is only visible upon close inspection. Measures 7.75" long, I believe it is 1:24 scale or a bit bigger. Box is near mint with all flaps intact. Box shows minor shelf wear. Early Hong Kong plastic vehicles in this scale are RARE!   89.50

HOUSE TRAILER.  circa 1960 Japanese Tin litho by MT.  approx. 6.5" long, not counting the hitch.  roughly 3.5" tall.  white with red lower section and dark blue band above.  Lots of yellow, light blue and black trim.  colorful curtains lithographed in the windows.  side door opens. black rubber tires.   The large rear door hinges up, so that a car can be stored inside.  no rust. no gouges or dents.   overall in excellent  or better condition.  79.50

HOUSE TRAILER.  early 1960's Japanese Tin litho by MRK.  rectangular shape. approx. 6.35" long and 2.25" tall.  silver and blue horizontal stripes with shades of black.  Yellow curtains lithographed in the windows.  black rubber tires.  The whole rear opens upward so that you can store a car inside.  no rust. no dents.  overall in excellent or nicer condition.  65.00

HOUSE TRAILER.  hard plastic.  1950's. made by Ideal.  6" long. not counting the hitch.  red with yellow roof and  yellow sliding door.  Rectangular shaped - roof looks kind of like an old Dining Car.  black plastic wheels.  no cracks. no breaks. no repairs.  minor surface wear. but still retains shine.  a VERY hard piece to find!  95.00

Hong Kong hard plastic HOUSE TRAILER.  Orange on black frame.  Not counting the tow hitch. approx. 3.5" long.  On of the 4 wheels is very slightly chewed.  Overall near mint.  32.00

KEYSTONE AUTOMATIC PARKING GARAGE #213.  paper litho on wood. complete with all 6 hard plastic vehicles.   It originally came with small paper "tickets" which are missing.  never played with.  the toy is in mint condition with original thin cardboard stock box.  the colors are bright and vivid.  Scarce toy in any condition - rarely seen this mint!  595.00
