MAGGIE & JIGGS. Extremely rare pair of plaster-composition type nodders of George McManus' famous comic strip couple. 1920's vintage, Made in Japan - company logo is embossed into back - looks kind of like a smiling face. She stands 5" tall. Interesting, they do not have springs. There is a horizontal wire across the interior of their head which rests inside notch on top of their neck - similar to the notch of an arrow where it fits the bow string - their heads rock back and forth quite nicely. There is paint wear to JIGGS back, otherwise pair is near mint to mint. No cracks, no chips. First set that I have ever seen or heard of. the pair: 695.00

REG'LAR FELLERS by Gene Byrnes. 1930's pencil box. larger size, 10.75" by 6" by 1.25". red with graphics of them on front and back. the backside shows close up portraits of the whole crew of them: Pinhead, Curly, Bullseye, Jimmie, Aggie, Puddinhead and Bump. edge wear along the bottom with some separation at bottom seam. Still, displays very nicely. Not an easy one to come by. 59.50

WINNIE WINKLE Cigar Box. from Federal Cigar Co. of Red Lion, Pennsylvania. 1920's or 1930's vintage. standard cigar box size. Beautiful full color interior label of WINNIE WINKLE with Palm Trees on each side of her. Mild and sweet, now 5 cents, wine dipped. By Permission M.M. Branner. She is also pictured on the outside top of the lid. Her name is repeated over and over along the edge trim. She appears again in full color on the front panel of the box. There is a smaller color photo of her on one end panel (has small surface tear). The box top is not longer attached to the bottom. Displays very nicely. Overall, very good or nicer. 138.50

c.1929 BETTY BOOP "tattoo" sheets, Japanese made, 3 ½" by 8" sheets. Wow, are these great. 3 different, mint/unused "tattoo" or decal sheets. I believe these were originally those things kids would "wet" and then stick to their skin to make a tattoo? I'm not really sure. All I do know, is that they are really good looking! Classic kid's stuff from back then. One sheet is just BETTY, the others have BETTY BOOP, MINNIE MOUSE, POPEYE, CHARLIE CHAPLIN and other comic characters, INCLUDING some Japanese comic characters from back then. Great artwork, great colors. Many of the poses are in traditional Japanese dress. I have included one close-up scan! Each sheet measures approx. 3 ½" by 8". The average transfer is about 1" by 1". ASTERISK AND OBELISK figural banks.. Super colorful, very good likeness. Made in Spain by Vial, these were NOT imported for sale into the United States. Large, one is 13", the other is 11" tall. Each has removable coin trap in base. These are basically, brand new, never used. They are "as purchased", with minor wear to horn tips, and small nicks. So, even though they have never been used, the best I can call them is near mint. KILLER display pieces. These are molded in a vinyl material that is slightly pliable, not that stiff rigid crap!
